Sourcing Encar cars for export to MENA

Not every car on Encar can ship to a given MENA destination. Each country sets its own age limit, emissions rule, and steering-side requirement; many also exclude particular fuel types or drivetrain configurations. This guide covers the practical filters KUC's import partners apply when sourcing on behalf of Saudi, Emirati, Jordanian, Qatari, Egyptian, Bahraini, and Omani buyers.

    Fuel type and drivetrain filters

Korean inventory is heavy on hybrids (HEV) and pure EVs — Hyundai Ioniq, Kona Electric, Kia EV6, Genesis Electrified GV70 — because of strong domestic incentives. Diesel inventory is shrinking after recent emissions regulations. Korean cars are left-hand-drive (LHD), matching all MENA destinations except a handful of specialty cases.

How KUC filters Encar's full inventory

Rather than asking buyers to learn Korean and trawl Encar themselves, KUC's daily sync pulls eligible inventory matching each MENA destination's age + fuel + emission rules, computes the landed cost in the local currency, and surfaces only export-ready cars on each country's inventory page. The buyer sees a curated, pre-filtered shortlist instead of 200,000 unfilterable Korean-language listings.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I import a 2020 Encar listing to Saudi Arabia in 2026?

No — Saudi Arabia's 5-year limit means by 2026 only 2021 and newer models are eligible (and the calendar tightens at the start of each year).

    Are right-hand-drive Korean cars available?

Korean domestic-market cars are LHD only. Right-hand-drive Korean models exist for export to UK / SE Asia, but they're a tiny fraction of Encar inventory and not relevant for MENA destinations (all of which drive on the right).

Why use KUC for Encar imports

Encar is built for Korean buyers — its interface is Korean-only, prices are KRW, and there's no built-in support for shipping, customs, or international paperwork. Trying to ship a car direct from Encar to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, or Jordan without a local partner means coordinating Korean export documentation (말소등록), destination HS classification, Korean port handling, ocean freight, marine insurance, and final clearance at destination — with the bandwidth and Korean-language expertise to fix issues when they arise.

KUC closes that loop end-to-end. Our Korean partners run the physical pre-purchase inspection, translate every document, and manage shipping, insurance, and clearance. The number our calculator returns is not an estimate — it's the real all-in price after every one of those stages, denominated in the local currency for each of the seven destinations we support (KSA, UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt, Libya, EU).
