Who we are

KUC ("we", "us") operates the kuc.app website and the KUC mobile app — a free informational platform that helps buyers across the Middle East and Europe research and import Korean used cars. This policy explains what personal data we collect on both the website and the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. For any privacy question, email us at [email protected].

Data we collect

You can browse cars, use the landed-cost calculator, and read our guides without creating an account. We collect data in these situations:

• Contact and support — when you use the contact form, email us, or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, email address or phone number, and the content of your message.
• Account data — if you create an account (for example a seller account), we store your email address, an encrypted password handled by our authentication provider, and the profile details you provide such as business name and WhatsApp number.
• Usage analytics — we collect anonymous-by-default usage events (pages viewed, buttons clicked, language and country preference, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address) to understand how the platform is used and improve it.
• Technical logs — our hosting and security providers automatically log IP addresses and request metadata to keep the service secure and available.

Data we do not collect

We do not process payments on the platform and never collect card or banking details. We do not request government IDs, and we do not access your device's precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or files.

How we use your data

• Operate and improve the platform, including fixing bugs and understanding which features are useful.
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests.
• Connect you with a car importer — only when you choose to contact one through the platform.
• Protect the service against abuse, fraud, and security threats.

Service providers we rely on

We share data only with the processors that run the platform, each bound by its own privacy terms:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and account storage.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security.
• PostHog — privacy-focused product analytics.
• Resend — delivers contact-form messages to our team inbox.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to contact us or an importer via a WhatsApp link; WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
• Google Fonts — loads the fonts used across the site.

What we never do

We never sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we only pass your details to a third-party importer when you explicitly start that contact yourself. We may disclose data if required by law.

Data retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists and is removed when the account is deleted. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention schedule.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] from the address linked to your data and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

KUC is a car-import research platform and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our service providers store data on servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. We choose providers that apply recognised security and data-protection standards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the latest version, and material changes will be announced on the site.
