About these terms

These terms govern your use of the kuc.app website and the KUC mobile app ("KUC", "we", "us"). By browsing the platform, creating an account, or posting a listing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Questions: [email protected].

What KUC is

KUC is an informational platform that helps buyers research Korean used cars and the cost of importing them. It shows listings gathered from third-party Korean marketplaces, landed-cost estimates, a directory of independent car importers, guides and articles, and listings posted by users.

KUC does not own, sell, buy, ship or import any vehicle, and is not a party to any deal between you and a seller or importer.

Prices and information

Prices, landed-cost estimates, exchange rates, customs duties, taxes and shipping costs shown on KUC are estimates for guidance only. They are not offers or quotes and can change at any time. Car details come from third-party sources and may be incomplete or out of date, and a car may already be sold.

Some articles are written with the help of AI tools. Treat all guides as general information, not legal, financial or customs advice. Always confirm the final price, the car's condition and your country's import rules with the seller, the importer and the official authorities before you pay.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account page or the delete-account page.

Posting car listings

If you list a car on KUC, you confirm that:

• You own the car or are authorised to sell it, and it is not stolen, under an undisclosed loan, or otherwise unlawful to sell.
• The description, price, mileage and photos are real, current and belong to that car.
• The listing contains no misleading, offensive or illegal content and no content you do not have the right to share.

Review, limits and removal of listings

Listings are reviewed before they go live and may be edited for format, rejected or removed at our discretion, including after a report from another user. Each account type has a monthly limit on new listings, shown when you post. Live listings may be hidden if you do not confirm periodically that the car is still available. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

You keep ownership of the content you post. You give KUC a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, resize and share it on the platform and in KUC's own promotion of your listing, for as long as the listing is on KUC.

Dealing with sellers and importers

Sellers and importers on KUC are independent third parties. Any deal, payment, inspection, shipping or paperwork is strictly between you and them. KUC does not verify every listing or importer and does not guarantee any car, price, delivery or outcome.

Protect yourself: inspect the car or get an independent inspection report, check the documents, and never send money before you are sure who you are dealing with. Report suspicious listings or messages to us.

Fees

Browsing KUC and using its tools is free. Posting listings is currently free within your monthly limit. If we introduce paid features, the price and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post spam, scams, fake listings, or impersonate another person or business.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users, sellers, importers or our team.
• Copy or scrape the platform's data in bulk, or use bots that overload the service.
• Try to break into accounts or systems, or get around listing limits, reviews or other safety measures.

Intellectual property

The KUC name and logo, the site design, the calculator, and our articles and guides belong to KUC. Car makers' names and trademarks (such as Hyundai, Kia and Genesis) and the names of third-party marketplaces (such as Encar) belong to their owners; KUC is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Third-party services and links

KUC links to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, importers' websites and Korean marketplaces. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

KUC is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the platform will be error-free or always available.

To the fullest extent the law allows, KUC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the platform, from relying on its prices or information, or from any deal with a seller or importer, including indirect losses or lost profits.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. The effective date at the top of the page always shows the latest version, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use KUC after a change means you accept the updated terms.
